Television actor Ali Merchant recently entered Kangana Ranaut- hosted reality show 'Lock Upp’ as the 14th contestant. He made a smashing entry leaving everyone stunned, particularly his ex-wife Sara Khan who was seen annoyed with his presence on the show. Before entering the show, Ali spoke about Shivam Sharma's flirtatious attitude with Sara and not getting work in the industry. The actor stated that he finds Shivam's gesture very cute and entertaining and that Sara is just like one of the contestants for him.

While speaking to ETimes, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor, when asked about Shivam flirting with Sara, said, “I find Shivam Sharma very entertaining. His gestures are really cute and I would want him to continue doing it. I am going there to just get entertained. I don’t think I am going to get possessive even one percent. For me, today Sara is just one of the contestants and I am going to see her like that. Ali also revealed why he had to suddenly leave the television industry. The actor said that he was misjudged by many and because of that he stopped getting work and therefore he had no option but to leave the industry. Meanwhile, in the latest episode of Lock Upp, Ali Merchant admitted to co-contestant Payal Rohatgi that he did cheat on Sara Khan after he met a girl in a club and got carried away.
